Macy’s Recognized as "Digital Genius" for Implementation of Omnichannel Features

A recent article from Footwear News discussed findings from Gartner L2's study, which found that 49% of retailers have implemented fit tools on their PDP compared to 24% from the previous year. The firm named True Fit client, Macy’s, as a ‘Digital Genius’ for the retail giant’s efforts to improve the e-commerce experience.

Much of the retailer’s continued success is due to the implementations of omnichannel features. Improvements include tailored search capabilities, social media engagement and in-store availability on product pages.  The report also applauded Macy’s digital marketing efforts, as products organically appear against 45% of all searches and 49% of apparel searches.

Footwear continues to expand in the e-commerce sector as improved data collection reduces the need of trying on a variety of shoes in traditional brick-and-mortar stores.
